Yes I am, or at least was (more on that later).
My character development was quickly falling into a rut, a nasty rut of no return.
This picture shows the many different ideas I've had regarding the head sculpt for the animation puppet I'm working on.
The furthest sculpt being the earliest and the closest to the foreground being the latest.
Each sculpt developed on the one that preceded it.
I was getting tired.
I was looking to the actor Charles Edwards for inspiration to aid in the head sculpt. It worked with minimal success and the process was a mixture of fun and horribly frustrating.
I am however extremely pleased with the amount of time and effort I've put into these chaps, each pushing my idea further a long and forcing me to think about my technique in a more streamlined way....

Lip synch's a bitch for sure.
for limited animation I learned the word MYOWFL.
Also known as M-UH-EE-AH-OH-OO-FF-LL.
Those are all the shapes you need for basic lip synch.
When you're doing soundtrack breakdown you set it up as:
A-M
B-UH
C-EE
D-AH
E-OH
F-OO
G-FF
H-LL
That way you can mark it all down nice and easy on your exposure guide or on your track.
